AS pair of Victorian silver thistle pepper pots, Sheffield 1896, 6cm (2)
No obvious cracks or repairs. There are no obvious dents on first inspection, but when you run a finger around the top curve of the pots you can feel some unnevenness and small dents, too shallow to photograph. There is no way for these pots to be filled from the bottom, it looks as though the top should be able to be popped off, but we did not attempt this as we did not want to bend or scratch the rim.
