Large pocket watch: Approximately 76mm case diameter. No obvious damage to the glass, some light scratches visible in bright light. Surface scratches. Did not tick when wound, does not appear to work.
8 day pocket watch: Approximately 66mm case diameter. No obvious damage to the glass, some light scratches visible in bright light. There appears to be some dirt and dust underneath the glass, some slight wear to the face. Back cover does not click closed properly, and the lip for opening it is visible scratched with small indents. Did not tick when wound, does not appear to work.
As clocks contain many complex parts we would therefore not make any representations as to their workings and ultimately all lots are ‘sold as seen’. It is always advised that these be taken for a general service as further repair works may be necessary. This would be the sole responsibility of the bidder.
